Blood Meal
Blood meal is a high-nitrogen (12-14% N) animal feed ingredient and organic fertilizer produced by drying and grinding animal blood collected from slaughterhouses. In feed applications, it is an excellent source of ruminally-undegradable (bypass) protein (85-90% CP) and lysine. Used in poultry, aquaculture, and swine rations. Also valued in organic farming as a fast-release nitrogen source.
Key Features:
- Highest Crude Protein: 85-90% in dry matter.
- Excellent Amino Acid Profile: Especially lysine (8-10%).
- Rumen Bypass Protein: Important for high-producing dairy cows.
- Flash Dried or Ring Dried: Preserves amino acid integrity.
